No Margin for Error — Defending Practice Revenue and Reducing Compliance Risk
The primary financial threat is often perceived as the reduction in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. But the real danger for most radiology practices is only now coming to light. Where will the Government find the $500 billion to pay for healthcare reform? Governmental recovery audits have increased exponentially. New legislation just signed into law has charged the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services with recovering more than $20 billion in the next 13 months. Shifting payor relationships embedded in new payment and quality monitoring structures, such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Bundled Payments and other factors will fundamentally alter the way radiologists practice and imaging services are delivered.
To survive in today's changing marketplace, practices must be vigilant and proactive along with being keenly aware of the growing risks associated with continuing to operate under a business as usual model.
This moderated panel discussion, led by McKesson's revenue cycle, practice operations and strategic vision/planning experts Keith Chew, Ron Jackson, Joe Lineberry, Pat Free and Chris Robertson will address the anticipated trajectory of overall healthcare reform as well as the specific regulatory initiatives that already are having an impact on radiology.
What you do today will affect your success tomorrow! Join us for breakfast and learn how your radiology practice can survive and thrive in today's unforgiving healthcare climate.

Achieving Meaningful Use of Medical Images
You are invited to start your day at RSNA on Tuesday, November 30th with a delicious hot breakfast and a chance to learn from one the industry thought leaders, Michael Gray, about how a Vendor Neutral Archive can reduce data management costs, more effectively image-enable your EMR, and thus encourage Meaningful Use of all types of medical images.
Join an exclusive group of your peers, Michael Gray of Gray Consulting and Logicalis, a Premier IBM Business Partner, to discuss how you can take advantage of the HITECH funds that are available for achieving Meaningful Use to finance your next generation image data management system.
Learn why you should begin the deployment of the VNA as soon as possible, and how you can deploy this next generation IT infrastructure in affordable phases that match-up with the three stages of Meaningful Use objectives.
Get the benefits from image enabling the EMR earlier, and prepare your medical institution for Vendor Neutral Archiving that will streamline your entire imaging environment, improve overall efficiency and more importantly, reduce your costs to manage medical images across the enterprise.

Clinical Utility of Quantitative Pharmacokinetic Image Analysis for Tumor Assessment with DCE-MRI
This seminar will review the role of pharmacokinetic image analysis of DCE MRI for lesion detection, staging, localization, treatment planning, and serial monitoring of prostate, brain, and other organs. Speakers will discuss how they use quantitative parameters including Ktrans (PERM), Kep , and EVF (Extracellular Volume Fraction) to analyze tissue, plan interventional procedures and treatment options, and how that impacts clinical outcomes.
